Dr. Kristina Burling Dr. Kristina Burling is a California native. She grew up as an animal crazy kid in Los Angeles and completed her DVM education at UC Davis in 1987. Kristina started her specialty training with an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Canada. She then returned to UC Davis for her specialty training in Ophthalmology. Board Certified in 1992 she started the first ophthalmology specialty practice, in the South Bay area in 1994 initially in San Jose and later moving to Campbell. When not doing her best to promote vision and comfort for her patients, Kristina spends time hiking, reading, yoga, enjoying movies and theater, and of course, playing with her dogs Zoe and Poppy! Veterinary Ophthalmologist/Owner Chris Chris joined the Animal Eye Specialists team in 2010 as a veterinary assistant. In 2014, she became the team’s Practice Manager where she ensures the background operations are running smoothly so that the rest of the team can provide the very best in patient care. When she is not working, you can usually find her out running, biking, or hanging out with her husband, daughter, and their three dogs- Bodie, Meeka, and Johnny and cat- Rosie. Practice Manager Benita Benita has been a Registered Veterinary Technician at Animal Eye Specialists since 2014. When not in the clinic, Benita is a mom to her two fur babies, Snickers, a senior Daschund and Aldo, a fun loving 3 legged cat. Her definition of a perfect Friday night is snuggling in bed with her animals and watching Unsolved Mysteries. Registered Veterinary Technician Dove Dove has been working at AES since 2013. She comes to us with over 30 years of veterinary experience. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband; her four legged kids that include dogs, cats, and horses, and tending to her chickens who are all named after chicken dishes. She is always up to attend a horse show with her prize winning stallion, Argentum. Client Services Representative Helena Helena grew up on a farm in Sweden. At a very early age, she knew she wanted to work with animals. She has been a Registered Veterinary Technician for over 25 years. She joined the Animal Eye Specialists Team in 2015. When not at work, Helena enjoys hiking with her two exuberant Boxers, Parker and Drama. Registered Veterinary Technician Jocelyn Jocelyn is owned by a three-year-old Terv named Nikki. When she is not working to earn money for kibble and frisbees, she is playing tug of war and practicing agility with Nikki. Registered Veterinary Technician Julie I’ve been a Registered Veterinary Technician for over twenty years and in ophthalmology for over eighteen years. I love what I do! I have owned cats, dogs, and horses all my life. In recent years, I have added playing in a band along with making and selling jewelry to my interests. Registered Veterinary Technician Kacy I love God. I love my family. I love my country. I’ve done a lot of rescue, particularly with capture/neuter/release programs, & fostering over the years especially with feral kitties. Because of my love and passion for animals, I knew this was the right job choice from a very young age. I have been working in the veterinary field for 21 years and with Dr. Burling for 15 years. In my downtime I enjoy movies, camping, and spending time with family and my critters. Client Services Representative Michelle The trio of words that “are me to a T” are Glitter, Bunnies & Llama’s! Oh, and, don’t forget Lots of Ice, haha :) The two decades that I’ve worked in the field of veterinary ophthalmology, I have enjoyed experiencing and learning so much. Client Services Representative
